Inspired by my father, who is also a doctor, I pursued a career in medicine and stayed the course because I loved it. I chose to specialize in nephrology because an excellent professor of medicine and nephrology taught me what a broad and incredible field it is, with the opportunity to encounter and help some of the most complex patients.I appreciate the opportunity to build relationships with my patients, following them on their journey from when they first learn of their diagnosis to presenting them with different modalities and helping guide them as they choose what works best for them. Most importantly, I endeavor to have a whole-person care approach to the treatment of my patients.The top conditions I manage include kidney diseases. I have previously done research on frailty in veterans with CKD.I am proud of my achievements and the impact I have made in the field of nephrology.
