I'm a pediatric psychiatrist with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Consult (CAPPCON) service at University of Vermont Medical Center, where I provide acute psychiatric care to the emergency department and inpatient pediatric medical teams. I also serve as the Medical Director for the Child, Adolescent and Family Unit at the Vermont Department of Mental Health. My work, both clinical and administrative, focuses on improving access to mental health services, addressing health disparities and fostering developmentally-informed, trauma-responsive and family-based approaches to care in all settings. I have also taken on a leadership role at the state level with regard to prevention, awareness and treatment of disordered eating.
