I’m grateful for the opportunity to help people of all ages live well with serious illness, working closely with their families and interdisciplinary care teams. My goal is to support patients by navigating complex decisions, honoring their individual goals and values and managing symptoms to promote quality of life.I earned my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and Public Health from Northeastern University and my medical degree with research honors from Tufts University School of Medicine. I completed my pediatrics residency at the University of Vermont, where I also worked as a pediatric hospitalist before pursuing a Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. In addition to caring for patients, I serve as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. My academic interests include teaching interprofessional communication skills for serious illness, developing systems for medical team debriefing and bereavement, supporting reflective practice among physicians and trainees and engaging the community in pediatric training.
