Description
I chose a career in medicine to provide the highest quality, evidence-based care while building active partnerships with my patients. I believe that state-of-the-art, guideline-directed care is essential, but it should never come at the expense of quality of life. My goal is to work collaboratively with patients to help them achieve their personal and health-related goals.The most rewarding part of my practice is supporting patients and watching them succeed in whatever they choose. My clinical expertise is in congenital cardiology, and I care for patients with congenital heart disease across all ages — from newborns to adults.After completing a fellowship in pediatric cardiology, I pursued additional training to care for adults with congenital heart disease. I’m proud to bring advanced, high-quality care to patients in Vermont and New York living with congenital heart conditions.In addition to congenital heart disease, I specialize in connective tissue disorders and aortopathies, including Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome and vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I’m actively involved in the University of Vermont Aortic Center, where we focus on comprehensive care for these complex conditions.I also have training and a strong clinical interest in caring for pregnant patients with heart disease of all types. I work closely with obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine teams across our health system to ensure the best possible outcomes for both mothers and babies — ideally as close to home as possible.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, fly fishing and cheering on local sports teams.
