I'm a strong proponent of shared decision-making in medicine and patient-centered care. My clinical expertise and interests include the surgical and medical management of stone disease and prostate conditions, including Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), supine Mini-PCNL, ultrasound guidance for percutaneous renal surgery and Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery. Along with our excellent team at UVM, I brought the HoLEP procedure to Vermont, and we have been routinely performing this procedure since January 2025.As an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Vermont, I'm actively involved in training future generations of physicians and surgeons. In addition, as Director of Urologic Research, I organize and coordinate the research efforts within the Division of Urology. My research interests include ionizing radiation exposure during urologic surgery, perioperative infectious complications, regional and national practice patterns in urology, the application of novel surgical tools and techniques and understanding bias in medical education and practice. I'm a member of the American Urological Association, Endourological Society, New England American Urological Association, the Canadian Urological Association and a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
