I find it rewarding to care for individual patients and their families while also helping design systems of care that personalize the patient experience and bring cutting-edge care closer to home.I have expertise across all areas of hematology, with a particular passion for thrombosis and hemostasis. Understanding how to safely navigate the body’s balance between clotting and bleeding has been a lifelong clinical interest and research focus.When I was about 12 years old, my aunt received a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s disease on Christmas Day during a family gathering. I have never forgotten how devastating that experience was for everyone involved. It continues to shape my approach to patient care, and I take special care with when and how I deliver news to patients and their families.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and gardening.
