I joined the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 2005 after completing a two-year fellowship in vascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, following a residency in general surgery here at UVM.My clinical interests include caring for patients with a broad spectrum of venous disease, including those with symptomatic varicose veins, venous insufficiency, prior deep vein thrombosis and associated chronic skin changes or pain.I am also part of a team that treats patients with advanced lower-extremity venous wounds and lymphedema. I value a multidisciplinary approach that allows for optimization of care for each individual patient. I am passionate about increasing awareness of pelvic venous disorders and the treatment options that can help prevent advanced venous disease. As an associate professor of surgery, I enjoy teaching UVM Larner College of Medicine medical students, as well as University of Vermont Medical Center surgery residents and vascular surgery fellows, in a variety of settings. My husband and I feel privileged to live and work in Vermont and to have raised our two children here.
