Description

I'm a nephrologist with subspecialty expertise in Transplantation Medicine and Immunology.I also serve as a Full Professor of Medicine for UVM Larner College of Medicine, and I am an active teacher and mentor for medical students, medical and surgical residents as well as other physicians, providers and medical staff.I specialize in the management of patients with kidney and pancreas transplants, chronic kidney disease, dialysis, hypertension and the broader range of kidney related diseases. My research interests include innovative methods for measurement of renal function in living kidney donors, utilization of blood and urine markers in diagnosis of rejection and kidney graft injury and Xenotransplantation. In my early school years, I was fascinated with the complexity of how the human body works. Learning to help people inspired me to pursue medicine and to push even further to research new treatments, new medications and new hope.I create personal relationships with my patients and am easily accessible to them. I want my patients to feel secure so I can more easily help them manage their problems. I find nothing more rewarding and gratifying than seeing my patients get better and return to their family and community.
